Description

Book one of the Fallen Angel duology

There is one absolute law all angels must abide by — never fall in love.

Six hundred years after her death, Joan of Arc is a rebellious angel. She harbors a bitter grudge against the celestials she once worshipped, unwilling to forgive the broken promise that brought her to the flames. Many have given up on her, and even the Lord Protector of the Heavens now sees his best warrior as a liability. Only one still does all he can to protect her from Michael’s judgment and herself: the Archangel Gabriël.

But when a routine job goes south and Gabriël is poisoned by a demon, the divine order shatters. Joan is confronted with his lust and love for her, unsure if it’s real or merely an after-effect of the poison now coursing through Gabriël’s veins and the influence of darkness.

Yet no matter how hard she tries, Joan cannot deny her own feelings toward him. Already on thin ice, she risks eternal banishment if she dares to cross this line.

With the Devil himself slowly taking hold of Gabriël’s mind and Michael’s growing distrust and his own unanswered affection for Gabriël, how long can their dangerous secret possibly last? As Joan and Gabriël navigate their forbidden love and attempt to hold their world together, they learn that everything they believed and fought for is a lie.

Fallen Angel is a unique supernatural romance that incorporates a fantastical sense of history that had me gripped from the first page. So much love, research, and effort has been put into each page that begs to be turned. I implore anyone who hasn’t read this book to do so as it will stay with you forever.

I had the pleasure of reading Fallen Angel, which is a beautifully-written epic supernatural/historical romance. The story combines the well-loved historical figure Joan of Arc with the lore of the archangels that is reminiscent of Good Omens. It is so fun to read, and the story is both heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. A fantastic read!

Fallen Angel held me captive from the prologue through the last act. It’s a thrilling, action-packed story with a lively cast and loads of suspense. Readers will be treated to rich backstories and personal trials and tribulations, offering a fascinating perspective on these familiar characters. Deception, drama, and revelations abound in this beautiful story of love, loss, and loyalty.

I seriously loved Fallen Angel I love mythology, history and action packed books/movies.
I must say that your book had the best romance scenes which really made me emotional sometimes honestly! Love between Gabriel and Joan was written PERFECTLY, and could not be done any better!

That story got me hooked from beginning until the end, not only the premises was already wealthy, the twists or should I say “clever slap in the face” made it even more intriguing and equally entertaining. There was no respite in the actions, every chapters, every words built up on something greater and what a honour did I have to read it. Lorraine, you’re an amazing and gifted writer and I can’t wait for the prequel (or even a sequel!)

    • Lorraine Tramain

Thank you, Anna <3 You know the prequel is coming, and it would be my honor if you would consider reading that one as well. I've loved reading all of your comments on Wattpad.

A book full of carefully-paced drama and heart-stopping cliffhangers. The amount of research pays off as it gives a thorough background to the story, with many myths and historical facts woven together to form an exciting tale. Your ability to draw empathy from readers and create vivid scenes is noteworthy as we journey along the plot. Very-Game-of-Throne-ish in both violence and sex, defying expectations and earning the readers’ empathy. If you liked GOT, enjoy romance and soap operas, and adore history and myths, this book is for you!

Wow! What an epic tale. Half the fun of this book is how you weave in historical references and people into a beautiful kaleidoscope of characters. The other half is the twists and turns that keep us readers turning pages. With romance, adventure, and drama you’ve created a fantastic story and I can’t wait to add the physical book to my collection.

    • Lorraine Tramain

Thank you so much for your kind review, DL! I’m very happy you enjoyed the story, and I hope I can provide that physical copy one day <3
